Where Jellyfish is the better fit
If the job is to report engineering investment to a finance or executive audience — allocation by initiative, capitalization, benchmarks, a report builder over historical data — Jellyfish is built and priced around exactly that, and its module list is explicit about it. Everview is not an investment-reporting product and does not try to be.
Where Everview is the better fit
If the problem is that the plan and the work drift apart — you can see the numbers but you cannot see what a slip lands on, or change anything from the place you saw it — that is the gap Everview is built for. The canvas is the working surface, not a report about it: you move a task, watch capacity, risk, and spillover recompute, and push the approved change back to Jira, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
They are not mutually exclusive
They read the same source systems and answer to different audiences, so teams do run both. Everview reads from your tools rather than replacing them, so adding it does not disturb an existing reporting pipeline.

Does Everview report engineering investment or capitalization?
Everview reads delivery data and computes execution signals — sprint health, capacity, dependency risk, Say/Do ratio, and all four DORA signals per sprint. Software capitalization and investment-category reporting are not capabilities we ship, and this page does not claim them.
Can Everview write changes back to Jira, GitHub, or Azure DevOps?
Yes. All three are parity-certified two-way connections: Everview reads projects, boards, sprints, and code activity, and the changes you approve — creating and editing work items, moving them between sprints, state changes, comments, and links — round-trip back to the source tool with your permissions.
