Edit Sprint Dates and Add Sprints

Ctrl+drag a sprint's border to change its dates, or double-click the hover-revealed strip at its edge to add a new sprint.

Changing a sprint's dates

Hold Ctrl (or Cmd) and drag a sprint's border to move its start or end date. Everview keeps neighboring sprints consistent as you do this, so adjusting one sprint's border doesn't leave a gap or an overlap with the next one.

Adding a sprint

Hover the right edge of a sprint to reveal an "add sprint" strip, then double-click it to create a new sprint immediately after.

Creating a task in a sprint

Double-click empty space inside a sprint — not on a card or a roster avatar — to create a new task there directly.

Sprint completion and spillover

When a sprint ends, any of its unfinished tasks carry over into the next sprint automatically, keeping their card position so they're easy to spot as carryover work rather than newly added scope.

What to do about it

Use Ctrl+drag for small date adjustments once a sprint is already underway; use the add-sprint strip when you need to extend your roadmap further out rather than resize an existing sprint. See Manage the Sprint Roster for adjusting who's available once a sprint's dates are set.
