What Is Delivery Confidence?

Delivery Confidence is a forecasted percentage chance that a team's capacity will cover everything planned for an upcoming sprint.

What it is

Delivery Confidence is a forecasted percentage, shown on upcoming sprint cards only, estimating the probability that a team's effective capacity will cover the points already planned for that sprint. Everview computes it by simulating likely outcomes from the team's recent throughput history, rather than from a single average.

How to read it

A high percentage means that, based on recent history, the team is very likely to have enough capacity for what's currently planned. A low percentage means planned scope is aggressive relative to how the team has actually performed recently — it doesn't mean the sprint will fail, only that history suggests it's a stretch. The figure only appears before a sprint starts; once a sprint is active, watch Momentum and Track View instead.

What to do about it

Use a low Delivery Confidence as a prompt to revisit planned scope before the sprint starts, not after. Check Velocity Volatility (in the app) alongside it — a low confidence score paired with high volatility means the forecast itself is less certain, since it's built from a noisier history than a team with a stable pace.
