Board Security and Deleting a Board

Restrict a board to invited members, control whether members can invite others, and delete a board — which happens immediately, with no confirmation step.

Open in Everview

Board Settings has two security toggles and a delete action — and the delete action isn't guarded by a confirmation dialog, so treat it carefully.

Security toggles

In the Security & Permissions card:

  • Private Board — only invited members can see this board.
  • Members can invite others — lets any member, not just admins, invite new people to the board.

Delete a board

In the Danger Zone, clicking Delete Board removes it immediately for all members — there's no "are you sure" dialog, no typed confirmation. The only warning is the static text above the button: "Deleting this board removes it for all members. This action cannot be undone."

What to do about it

Double-check you have the right board open before clicking Delete Board — unlike deleting your organization, which requires typing its name to confirm, this one is a single click. If you need to restrict who can see a board rather than delete it, turn on Private Board instead.
